We should follow the example of the Apostle Paul who earnestly prayed that his countrymen might be saved (from God’s righteous judgment upon their sins and from the punishment of hell). We are saved by receiving Jesus as our Savior, believing in our hearts, confessing with our mouth, and calling upon the name of the Lord.
